Where is LAUNCH LAB BASEBALL & SOFTBALL located?

Launch Lab Baseball & Softball is located at 306 N. 2nd Street in Eldridge, IA, 52748.

 

What type of use is allowed at LAUNCH LAB BASEBALL & SOFTBALL?

Generally speaking, any Baseball or Softball use (pitching machine, hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, or throwing, etc.) is the type of activity allowed. Specific use, supervision requirements, rules, and minimum age requirements are defined in "Batting Cage Rules." Failure to follow facility expectations and rules may result in a BAN. Our Cage Rental model is especially convenient for returning users: "3 clicks & 30 seconds."

Who can use the Facility? 

Any 18+ year old with a completed Liability Waiver signed by themselves AT THEIR INITIAL USE of the Facility, OR any minor with a completed Liability Waiver AT THEIR INITIAL USE of the Facility signed by a Consenting Adult/Guardian may use the Facility. Consenting Adults or Guardians may book on behalf of 16 and 17 year olds, and/or bring any Minor Children Users under 18.  You may bring any number of Users, but Age/supervision restrictions for equipment and use-type apply.  ALL USERS MUST MEET the Liability Waiver Requirement AT INITIAL USE of the Facility. Once we have a completed and submitted Liability Waiver on-file from a User, we do not need another waiver unless that User turns 18.

How old must I be to create an account AND book a Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team)? What does my account allow me to do?

You must be 18+ years old to create a Launch Lab Baseball & Softball account with the "Launch Lab Baseball & Softball" App, AND to be a Booking Agent. Consenting Adults or Guardians may book on behalf of 16 and 17 year olds, and/or bring Minor Children Users under 18. You must download the Launch Lab Baseball & Softball App through the AppStore on your phone to access and use your Launch Lab Baseball & Softball account. Our App gives you the ability to book Private Cage Rental Sessions, book into camps, purchase Private Cage Rental Session Credit Packs & Memberships, track your credits, access 1-on-1 Lesson Credit Packs, etc.

Is the Facility really open 24/7/365?

Yes, self-booking and keyless-entry self-access for Private Cage Rental Sessions (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) applies 24/7/365. Our cage rental booking and facility access process is fully-automated. View/purchase/reserve "traditional" Team-Use Practice Sessions here.

Are there any staff members on-site?

No there are not any staff members on-site, but there are numerous cameras. Our cage rental booking and facility access process is fully-automated.

Where and how much parking is there on-site?

We have two (2) designated parking spots around the back of the Facility in the parking lot. If those are full, you must park on the street.  If our commercial neighbors on the same lot as us have closed their business for the day, and our two (2) designated parking spots are full, you may at that time park in the front lot.

What is a Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) ?

Private Cage Rental Sessions (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) is using our facility (one or both tunnels) for your self-guided, any-type baseball or softball use (hitting, pitching machines, fielding, pitching, etc.). for any # of users.

Will a staff member meet me at my first Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team)?

Yes. We are able to meet first-time Cage Rental Session Users at their first session booked. If we are not able to meet you at your first session, we will call you at the start time of your session. You do not need to notify us of your first booking. We receive notifications for first-time users.

What is a Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) Credit?

A Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) credit is thirty (30) minutes worth of cage time purchased in our App. Credits can be applied to any open time slots in Cage 1 or Cage 2 up to 7 days in advance in the "timetable" portion of the App to reserve your cage time. Lesson Credits (also 30 minutes) are separate and can only be applied to Lessons. Credits are always non-expiring. Credit allocation can be found under 'account settings' in our App (top-left). This is one of three purchasing/booking options available for Private Cage Rentals.

What is a Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) Membership?

A Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team)  Membership plan is a one or two month pass for an unlimited number of bookings per month that can be purchased in our App. With a membership, you can book cage time up to 7 days in advance in the "timetable" portion of the App. Book any open slot in Cage 1 or Cage 2 to reserve your cage time., Monthly Memberships activate upon first-booking and not purchase. Membership details can be found under 'account settings' in our App (top-left).This is one of three purchasing/booking options available for Private Cage Rentals.

Can I 'Drop-In" or "Pay-As-You-Go" for Private Cage Rental Sessions (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) ?

For most clients: yes. If you are not able to drop-into a slot as a qualifying account, simply purchase Credits or a Membership prior to booking your slot(s) in the 'timetable' portion of our App. This is one of three purchasing/booking options available for Private Cage Rentals.

Can I have Private Cage Rental Session Credits & Membership at the Same Time? Will my Membership Renew?

Membership commences the date of your first session booked. IF YOU HAVE EXISTING PRIVATE CAGE RENTAL CREDITS IN YOUR ACCOUNT, YOUR EXISTING CREDITS WILL BE PULLED FIRST FROM YOUR ACCOUNT WHEN BOOKING. ONCE YOU HAVE EXHAUSTED EXISTING PRIVATE CAGE RENTAL CREDITS (0 CREDITS REMAINING), YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL ACTIVATE UPON YOUR NEXT PRIVATE CAGE RENTAL BOOKING, AND BE VALID FOR YOUR DURATION PURCHASED FROM THAT BOOKING ONWARD. Credit allocation and membership status can be found under 'account settings' in the top-left corner of the app. You may purchase and have both credits and a membership at the same time.

 

You will NOT be auto-charged to renew your membership, but must purchase another membership after your current membership expires (check 'account settings' for details).

Do 'Double Bookings' occur?

No.

How do I Gain Access to the Facility for a Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team)?

At what time will I gain access to the Facility for a Self-Use or Team-Use Session?

You will gain access to the Facility for your duration booked via your emailed access link when the link becomes valid five (5) minutes prior to your session starting. Example: Booking @ 3:00-3:30. Access Granted @ 2:55-3:30. Use your access emails for re-entry to the facility should you need to step outside during your booking.

What do I do if I'm having trouble with bookings or Keyless-Entry Access? 

Immediately contact Launch Lab Baseball & Softball to get the issues resolved. We can unlock the door for you in the event of any potential technical difficulty

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

It is highly recommended that you provide your own bat, helmet, glove, batting gloves, and catcher's equipment.  If you do not have your own, there are helmets, bats, and catcher's gear with masks, etc., provided to you on-site. See our "Facility & On-Site Equipment" page for other equipment provided on-site by Launch Lab Baseball & Softball. Equipment is sorted for use-type and located within the Facility on various shelves for your convenience. YOU MAY bring other equipment of your own, but please take it home with you.

 

What is the maximum number of Users in a Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team)?

NEVER MORE than Two Users in a Cage at a time during Self-Use Sessions, but you may bring any number of users to the facility to rotate in and out of the cages if you choose.

How am I able to stay within the scope of "Batting Cage Rules" AND ALSO use the facility for Large Group or Team-Use type Private Cage Rental Sessions?

How much time should I allot myself when starting the Private Cage Rental session-booking process if I want to book a session ASAP?

First-time Users may take 5 minutes or so to create your account and book your first session with our App. Further bookings take no more than 1 minute to get through the booking process in our App. After booking a Private Cage Rental Sessions (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) through the app, you will receive your keyless-entry access link for your session booked via email from Kisi within 2 minutes.

How do I sign and submit the Liability Waiver for ANY new User? How do I meet the Liability Waiver Requirement?

How is the Liability Waiver requirement fulfilled by my Minor User(s) and/or other Minor User(s)?

It is the Consenting Adult/Guardian's responsibility as the Booking Agent to ensure that any and all new Minor Child Users have completed the Liability Waiver Requirement with Launch Lab Baseball & Softball AT their INITIAL USE of the Facility. It is also the Booking Agent's responsibility to ensure that ALL other Users of the Facility have met the Liability Waiver Requirement AT THEIR INITIAL USE of the Facility.

If I am the Booking Agent for my team's Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team), am I responsible for ensuring that all Users have a signed and completed Liability Waiver on-file PRIOR to their INITIAL USE of the Facility?

Yes, ALL team participants MUST meet the Liability Waiver Requirement before any new User of any age can participate.

After myself and/or my accompanying Users have met the Liability Waiver requirement, do we need to complete any future Liability Waiver(s)?

If a User has already met the Liability Waiver Requirement at our Facility, they DO NOT need to submit any further form of the Liability Waiver. If a Minor User turns 18, they will need to submit a new Liability Waiver, thus meeting the Liability Waiver Requirement as an adult.

How do I book cage time Private Cage Rental Sessions (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) side-by-side at the same time?

If for example you wanted to self-book both cages at the same time 12:30 (Cage 1) and 12:30 (Cage 2), you would have to have a second Launch Lab Baseball & Softball account with another Credit(s) or Membership to be able to do so. Whether you have a second. account, or another 18+ year old person has an account, a second account is currently needed book the alternate cage at the same time. This is the only reason you would need a second account. If you want to self-book both cages as one person, this would mean you would have to logout of one account on our App, and log in to your second account on our app. This issue will be resolved in the future.

Can I Book Back-to-Back Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) ?

Yes. You may book either cage for as long and as much as you'd like. You can also extend your stay while at the Facility should you choose to by booking further sessions in our App.

Is there enough equipment available for each cage if both cages are in-use at the same time?

Yes.

Why am I unable to book a Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) at a particular time on the "Home & Schedule" page?

If you are unable to see a time slot or book a Private Cage Rental Session (1+ Users, Any # of Users, Team) at a particular time slot for either Cage 1 or Cage 2, Launch Lab Baseball & Softball or another user is using that time and space for something else.

Do I have to turn any lights on or off within the Facility?

Yes. The foyer lights will remain ON 24/7, but we kindly ask you to turn the cage room lights ON when using the space, and OFF when your session is over.

Will my Keyless-Entry Access email expire after my allotted time has expired?

Yes. Hit the green "Push to Exit" button to exit the Facility. Please make sure not to forget anything that you brought in.

Do I have to lock the front door when I leave?

No. The access control system will lock the door when you fully close it.

What do I do if I forget something in the Facility and my Keyless Entry Access Credential has expired?

Contact (call) Launch Lab Baseball & Softball.

What is the air temperature in the Facility?

The Facility's thermostat stays set between 62 and 78 degrees year-round. Dehumidifier is run in the wetter months or most of the time.

How do I book and access 1-on-1 Lessons and Workouts? How do I buy more credits?

Am I able to use the Facility to provide 1-on-1 Baseball or Softball Lessons myself?

Yes, but you will not be affiliated with Launch Lab Baseball & Softball unless you would like to inquire about affiliation. 

Is there a bathroom in the Facility?

No. Please plan accordingly. If you are a Team-Use Session(s) booking agent, some information regarding emergency use will be discussed prior to your initial booking of Team-Use Session(s).
