Kayla Weber:  Softball Hitting, Slapping, Pitching, Fielding, Catching

Kayla is currently an Assistant Varsity Softball Coach at Davenport Central High School where she is hands-on with continuously refining the skills of her athletes. Kayla was a 2024 graduate of St. Ambrose University (Davenport, IA) where she was on the softball team for the Fighting Bees. She also spent some of her college career on the softball team at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, IA. Due to multiple injuries between both schools during her college career, Kayla was unable to play much, and accepted the role of Team Manager for St. Ambrose in the spring of ’24, paving the way for her coaching position at Davenport Central. During her high school years, Kayla played for local travel teams including the Eastern Iowa Barracudas and the Quad Cities Angels, primarily playing the Catcher position, but also logging plenty of innings as a “Utility,” playing multiple infield and outfield positions. Throughout her playing career, Kayla received many awards including an NAIA Scholar-Athlete Award (St. Ambrose), National Tournament MVP (travel ball), and multiple “Perfect Game” Tournament MVP’s. Kayla received both catching and hitting lessons throughout the majority of her career. Kayla looks forward to sharing her skills and knowledge of softball with our local Launch Lab Baseball & Softball students.
