Jordan Benson: Baseball Pitching
Jordan is a 2018 graduate of Moline High School in Moline, IL where he earned First-Team All-State & First-Team All-Conference honors his Senior year. He also notched other accolades such as having led the Western Big Six Conference in strikeouts two (2) seasons in a row, leading the Maroons to a Regional Championship, and nabbing multiple “Metro Player of the Week” honors, to name a few accolades. After his four (4) years as a Varsity pitcher for the Moline Maroons, Jordan moved on to play at Black Hawk College and Oakton Community College in Chicago before the pandemic cancelled that season. Since his college days, Jordan continues to climb the professional baseball ranks by playing Independent League baseball for teams based out of California, New Mexico, & New York in differing seasons (0.96 ERA in '23). Jordan hopes to climb the professional ladder with his fastball in the low to mid 90’s. In previous off-seasons, Jordan trains across the country at various facilities for MLB scouts and trainers with connections to MLB teams. Recently, Jordan was Head Coach of the Midwest Hitmen 15U travel baseball team and continues to help coach the team when his time allows. Jordan most recently wrapped up the 2024 baseball season playing professionally for the North Country Thunderbirds (NY), and has returned to the Quad Cities this offseason to continue passionately sharing his knowledge of pitching to local youth pitchers at Launch Lab Baseball & Softball.
