Manny Tejada:  Baseball Pitching
 

Manny Tejada brings a wealth of experience and passion to the mound & Launch Lab Baseball & Softball clients, including over 20 years of pitching instruction and an 8-year professional playing career in the Minnesota Twins minor league system. Signed at just 16 years old out of the Dominican Republic, Manny quickly rose through the ranks, earning recognition as one of the Top 10 Prospects in the Twins organization by Baseball America (a publication composed of sports writers whom rank all of the players in professional baseball) in 2002.

Manny played at the High-A level in the Florida State League (Fort Myers) for the Twins, showcasing a powerful right arm with a fastball that topped out at 97 mph, and tossed a mean changeup, slider, and sinker as well. Manny previously held the Florida State League record for longest outing by a reliever when he pitched 7 innings for the Fort Myers Miracles in 2004, and had a 1.88 ERA in 2003.

 

Manny's deep understanding of the game and ability to connect with young athletes is rooted not only in his own experience, but also in a family legacy as both of his brothers pitched professionally in the Atlanta Braves & Seattle Mariners organizations. His son is now continuing that family tradition as a Division I pitcher for the Northern Illinois University (NIU) Huskies in Dekalb, Il.
 

Manny holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, and has been a dedicated pitching instructor for over two decades. His instruction style blends technical precision, game knowledge, and the mental side of pitching, developed from years of personal experience and coaching youth, high school, and collegiate-level athletes.
