Aaron Vertuno:  Baseball Pitching, Hitting, & Fielding
 

Aaron Vertuno is a 2020 graduate of Grant Community High School in Fox Lake, IL, where he was named captain of the Bulldogs baseball team prior to the season starting. Unfortunately, Aaron’s Senior season was cancelled with the Bulldogs due to Covid, but Aaron ventured to Oakton Community College (Des Plaines, IL) the following year for his first collegiate season. From 2021 to 2023 for the Owls, Aaron posted consistently strong
stats. In 2021, Aaron earned Second-Team All-Conference honors and helped lead the Owls to the NJCAA D3 World Series, finishing the season with a .384 batting average and an OPS of .890. Aaron and the Owls returned to the NJCAA D3 World Series the following year (2022) where Aaron especially excelled on the mound with 26 and ⅔ innings pitched, recording 21 strikeouts, 11 walks, 4 wins, no losses, and 1 save over the course of the season. In 2023, Aaron again recorded similar numbers at Oakton, demonstrating his reliability at the plate and on the mound. His consistent performance over these three seasons illustrated his value as a versatile two-way player capable of hitting, pitching, fielding. For the 2024 season Aaron transferred to Roosevelt University in Chicago where he redshirted. Currently, Aaron is preparing to play his 2025 season as a two-way player for the Saint Ambrose University (Davenport, IA) Fighting Bees. In addition to his playing career, Aaron has coached various travel ball programs over the last three seasons. He most recently coached the Wow Factor Stoppers, a 15u A team in 2024. Aaron also has three (3) years of experience instructing hitting and pitching with students of various ages.
